How to use this knowledge base

A few minutes here will save you hours later.

This hub is not a filing cabinet to dig through. It is shaped like a journey — the actual path a person walks from first calling to a sustained ministry. Follow it in order and it will meet you where you are.

The recommended path

  1. Start here - You're already doing it. Get oriented, then keep going.

  2. Discern your calling - Before where or how, settle whether — and to what. This is where the path forks.

  3. See where the need is - Understand where Slavic ministry is most needed, and where your background is an asset.

  4. Follow your track - Pick the calling that fits and walk its stages: prepare, train, launch, sustain.

The two tracks

After discernment, the journey divides into two callings. Throughout the hub, color tells you which one you're reading about:

  • Track A  Plant in the U.S. — starting or replanting a church here, through the North American Mission Board and Send Network.

  • Track B  Serve overseas — going to the nations through the International Mission Board (IMB).

Tools to help you

  • Ask AI & Search. Don't know where something lives? Ask a question in plain words — or in Russian — and you'll be pointed to the right article.

  • Links to primary sources. For things that change — addresses, legal rules, funding details — we link you straight to the source (NAMB, IMB, the IRS) so you always get the current, authoritative answer.

  • Talk to a real person. Some steps are better walked with someone beside you. Where it matters, we'll point you to a real human connection, not just a document.
